This also serves to a large extent the development of the 5.7 inch variant. However, the hardware sourcing is still pending. With our integrated modem, all you need is a SIM card. The optionally available LTE antenna from Bernd Dolba is designed for installation in the fuselage and can increase the reception strength by up to 11dBi.
3rd system buttons
These allow you to quickly change the volume and brightness without having to manipulate the touchscreen in flight. Zoom +/-, Enter and ESC are further functions. In the case of XCSOAR, the ■ button opens the quick menu, for example, which can otherwise only be accessed via a screen gesture
(cumbersome in flight) or via a remote. Double-clicking X opens the overview of the running apps, so that you can easily switch between WeGlide Copilot, XCSoar etc., for example.

Thus, XCNAV EDITION is ideal for clubs, for example. A club aircraft retrofitted with our product, offers every club pilot the possibility to use his preferred cross country APP. So nobody has to change.
If you have previously flown with the OV and used the SteFly Remote Stick or the Rotary unit, both will continue to work with our system. However, these are designed for use with XCSoar and will not work with other programs.
Out of the box, our new edition offers 4 Quick Access Buttons.
Another difference is the absence of the pressure probe as in some versions of the OV!

Yes, of course! All current apps for navigation are designed for use on a terminal with touchscreen and online function. An operation by peripheral devices is possible, but in our opinion it can only be a supplement and not a replacement for touch input.
Therefore our edition has a 5 Point PCAP Touchscreen, which is attached in an "OPTICAL BONDING" procedure on our screen. This elaborate bonding process ensures that the excellent optical properties of our screen are preserved, unlike e.g. the OV.

Our XCREMOTE can basically do the same as the SteFly Remote Stick and is similar in operation to it.
However, the transmission of the XCRemote works via Bluetooth! This means you can use XCRemote independently of our XCNAV Edition21 with any other
mobile, tablet or Kobo and it works the same way.
Furthermore, we have developed an app that allows you to customize the button mapping to your individual needs. This also works on your Android device in conjunction with XCRemote.
Thanks to the cooperation with XCVario, we have succeeded in making this almost completely operable via XCSOAR also via our XCRemote. An adaptation of other Varios, currently the LX EOS/ERA, is already in progress. XCRemote can be delivered configured for XCSOAR and LK8000. A change of the system, can be done within a few moments via the "Over the Air" update function, from any smartphone.
We offer XCREMOTE in different versions. In connection with the XCVario no extra STF switch is needed, but can be ordered as a trigger switch for other variometers optional. With seam colors in black, red, blue, silver and yellow, there should be something to suit every taste and every interior.

No, of course not! EDITION works with any variometer that provides its data via the NMEA protocol and which is supported by the drivers of the programs used. A connection is possible via the serial interface via cable or via BT! However, the respective protocols in XCSOAR do not offer the same possibilities with all variometers, so for example the transmission from the vario to the EDITION of QNH, MC, ballast, bugs is not given with every variometer as it does with XCVARIO!

We are working on a double seater solution. At the moment there is of course the possibility to install 2 devices of our XCNAV EDITION. You then have 2 independently functioning systems. XCSoar offers the possibility to pass the NMEA data set wirelessly, so that the 2nd device can also process the vario and flarm data. But with this you can also use any smartphone or tablet in the rear seat. Our planned solution practically provides a mirroring of the front monitor with possible touchscreen inputs, so that both pilots have the same information. Thanks to Bluetooth 4.2 you can also connect EDITION with 2 input devices in parallel, and thus inputs are also possible from the rear seat with our XCRemote!
