NEW!! Our XCRemote has been updated!
Although there is no visible difference on the outside, a lot has changed on the inside. The new XCRemote can now be connected not only via Bluetooth, but also via USB. Switching between USB and Bluetooth is very easy to do via the web app.
The XCRemote is designed for LK8000 and XCSoar. Switching between the two protocols now also takes place in the web app; an update to switch between the two function variants is no longer necessary.
Adaptation to different aircraft is achieved using UV-resistant nylon adapters, which are inserted into the 24 mm CNC aluminum sleeve.
XCSOAR:
A 4-button plus navigation button solution combines all the necessary functions of XCSoar. Each button distinguishes between short and long pushes, and each of the four buttons can be individually configured with two of 18 functions via an accompanying Android app or the new web server. The Android app only configures the functions on the individual device, while the commands sent by the XCRemote remain the same. This means that, for example, in club operations, each pilot can fly their own XCRemote configuration without changing the settings on the XCRemote itself.
Via the web server, however, the functions are configured directly on the XCRemote. This is useful, for example, when installing in a private aircraft.
Further options are available to you through the use of an .xci file in the XCSoar configuration, so that this remote control offers almost endless possibilities for individual customization.
LK8000:
Thanks to the OTA update function, switching between the two protocols XCSOAR and LK8000 can be done easily in a matter of seconds without removal.
In addition to basic functions such as scrolling, zooming, and calling up individual information pages, XCRemote calls up the first 7 items in the LK8000 user menu, which can be freely assigned by the pilot.
Condor/MS Flight Simulator
A version for flight simulators is now also available. Here, the navigation button in joystick mode controls the HAT function, while the buttons simulate the joystick buttons. By simply double-clicking the navigation button, you can switch back and forth between joystick and navigation mode to control XCSoar or LK8000 on a connected tablet or navigation computer. Of course, the functions can also be configured as desired via the XCRemote's own web server.
Each XCREMOTE is individually manufactured and assembled after ordering, depending on the options selected. Delivery time may be up to 2 weeks.
In conjunction with the XCVARIO, the S2F/Vario function can be switched wirelessly via XCSoar, i.e. using the BT function. For use with other variometers, our XCRemote now has internal switch logic that replaces the previous trigger switch. Switching between S2f and Vario is now also done by double-clicking the joystick button.
